Employers could have a better understanding on how to approach a person who stutters. It is not easy to perform well at job interviews or to express ourselves during professional meetings or with co-workers.
I deeply feel that there is a lack of knowledge by society at a large on the topic of fluency disorders and it is important that we start raising awareness about the issue.
We need to make our voice heard and not be ashamed because of the way we speak. Who we truly are goes beyond our speaking abilities.
